How to share your data with us in IKP

Ordering a psychotropic or narcotic drug? Before prescribing it, the doctor must check which drugs of this group you take. The fastest way is the national e-health system, once you share your data with HelpDoc in the Internet Patient Account (IKP). It takes about two minutes.

Voluntary, but much faster

Sharing your data is not an obligation. It lets the doctor see your prescription history straight away, without asking about medicines, doses and dates. Without it, the doctor will ask you about the medicines you take and may ask for more information. If the doctor finds it insufficient, they may decline to prescribe and record the reason in your medical records.

You need the mojeIKP app or access to pacjent.gov.pl. You sign in with a trusted profile (profil zaufany), an e-ID card or your online banking.

    Open “Menu” and choose “Upoważnienia” (Authorisations)

    Sign in to the mojeIKP app. Tap “Menu” and choose “Upoważnienia”.

    Choose data sharing

    Choose “Udostępnij dane lekarzowi, pielęgniarce lub farmaceucie” (share data with a doctor, nurse or pharmacist), then tap “Przyznaj dostęp” (grant access).

    Pick a medical facility

    Of the three options, choose “Placówka medyczna” (medical facility).

    Find HelpDoc

    In the “Nazwa placówki medycznej” (facility name) field, type QMEDIC and tap “Szukaj” (search). Pick QMEDIC SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ, ul. Szlachecka 19, 30-444 Libertów from the list. This is the company that runs HelpDoc.

    Set the scope and save

    Choose “Dostęp do wszystkich dokumentów” (all documents) or, to share less, “Dostęp do wybranych dokumentów” (selected documents). Set how long access lasts: until a date or with no end date (“Bezterminowo”). Tap “Zapisz” (save). Done: the doctor will see your prescription history.

On a computer: pacjent.gov.pl

Sign in at pacjent.gov.pl, open the “Upoważnienia” tab in the top right corner and follow steps 2 to 5.

Without signing in: a text message code

If your phone number is saved in IKP, the doctor can ask the system for access to your prescription history. You will then get a text message with a code from the e-health system. Give the code to the doctor when they contact you. Access lasts 24 hours.

How to change or withdraw access

You can change or remove the authorisation at any time. In mojeIKP open “Menu”, then “Upoważnienia” and the same tile as in step 2. Next to QMEDIC, tap “Edytuj zakres dostępu” (edit scope) or “Usuń dostęp” (remove access).

Legal basis: § 7(2a) of the Minister of Health regulation on narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and category 1 precursors (Journal of Laws 2024 item 373, as amended) and Article 35 of the Act on the healthcare information system. The steps follow pacjent.gov.pl materials. The illustrations are simplified and the app may look slightly different.
